Conversation, Research & Idea Organization

Let the assistant handle research, organization, execution, and follow-up inside one conversation.

Introduction

Use conversation when reference gathering, judgment, organization, and the next action need to stay in the same thread.

In this kind of conversation, the assistant can keep doing research and organization, and can also submit clear download, transcode, and subtitle jobs directly into the Resource Library.

DreamCreator conversation and research interface

Typical cases include:

  • collecting references for a topic
  • shaping a script or video structure
  • summarizing and comparing downloaded material
  • letting the assistant continue from research into real actions

Prerequisites

Features

Workflow

Use the following method to start:

  1. choose the assistant that matches the work
  2. state the actual goal, not a vague request
  3. provide links, files, audience, or constraints
  4. ask for structure, reasoning, and next steps together with the answer

Available Context

Conversation in DreamCreator can access files and the execution environment. It can continue around:

  • download outputs
  • workspace files
  • active thread context
  • available tools
  • web access and local computer access when allowed

That makes it easier to turn discussion into results.

Library Jobs

When the current assistant has Library query and Library jobs enabled, it can continue by creating:

  • download jobs
  • transcode jobs
  • subtitle translation, proofreading, and QA jobs

These jobs return an operation ID first, then keep running in the background.
You can continue checking their state in the same thread, or go back to the library task list for outputs, errors, and follow-up actions.

Configuration

Assistants

Before starting work in the conversation page, choose the assistant that matches the current task.

  • Research assistants fit reference gathering, idea development, and structure work.
  • Subtitle assistants fit translation, proofreading, and terminology control.
  • Execution assistants fit tool use, automation, and follow-up work.

Different assistants can use different models, tool permissions, skills, and memory boundaries.

Tool Permissions

If you want conversation to keep creating library jobs, the current assistant should have:

  • Library query
  • Library jobs

If the current assistant is mainly used for research and structure work, the tool scope can be reduced accordingly.

Threads

You can split threads in the following cases:

  • the current thread has mixed too many unrelated projects
  • research, subtitle work, and execution are starting to interfere with one another
  • you need different models, tool permissions, skills, or memory boundaries

After splitting them, context boundaries are clearer and follow-up management is more direct.
